Meet Our New Franchise Owner: Kelly Finkelstein

We’re delighted to welcome Kelly Finkelstein to the Owl Be There family as the newest senior care franchise owner serving the North Orlando area!

With a heart rooted in family and a passion for helping others, Kelly brings a wealth of personal experience and empathy to her new role as a Senior Living Advisor with her senior care franchise in North Orlando. Alongside her husband, David, Kelly has walked hand-in-hand with loved ones through the complexities of health care decisions—experiences that have shaped their shared mission: to support families during life’s most challenging transitions.

“Our passion is to encourage and help families going through difficult circumstances,” Kelly says. “We understand the emotional toll these decisions take, and we’re committed to walking with them every step of the way.”

In their spare time, you’ll find Kelly and David enjoying the simple joys of life—most likely cheering on their grandkids from the sidelines of a baseball game. They are proud grandparents of 11 and cherish every opportunity to be present in their lives.

We sat down with Kelly to learn more about her journey to joining Owl Be There and what inspires her to serve.

Q&A with Kelly Finkelstein

What were you looking for when you discovered Owl Be There?

I was looking for a home-based franchise that would allow me to work in the healthcare space and truly help individuals and families. I wanted something rooted in relationships, with simple training steps and a quick path to launch.

What attracted you to the Owl Be There franchise opportunity?

I’ve been on the other side—as a family member navigating the stressful process of finding the right senior living space. What stood out to me about Owl Be There was the advocacy role we play. We help families, and we don’t charge them for our service. That’s powerful and meaningful.

What set Owl Be There apart for you as you were evaluating your options?

There’s no inventory to manage—just marketing materials. It’s a service-based, sales-oriented business with minimal overhead, and it’s run from home. Best of all, this is a need-based service that remains important no matter what’s happening in the economy.

How did you feel about the investigation and discovery process?

The process gave me great clarity. I had incredibly helpful conversations with current franchisees who were warm and open. Meeting the team in person and observing their communication and idea-sharing gave me confidence in their culture and mission. I could tell this was a hands-on team that genuinely wants me to succeed.

In your opinion, what type of person is a great fit for an Owl Be There franchise?

Someone with business or administrative experience, who is friendly and outgoing, and can strike up conversations easily. They should be independent, organized, comfortable with technology, and most importantly, willing to learn and work collaboratively as part of a supportive team. Motivation is key!

Would you recommend Owl Be There to others looking for a business opportunity where they can be successful while making a difference? Why?

Absolutely. This is more than just a business opportunity—it’s a calling. You get to make a tangible difference in people’s lives during a deeply emotional and difficult time. At the same time, you’re building a rewarding business with the flexibility to prioritize your family and personal life.
